The GEPS celebrates its 20 years
With 43 members, the GEPS which is celebrating its 20th birthday, is a great example in terms of dynamics. 2010 was a year of many initiatives: creation of a cluster of employers, deployment of the waste management, mutualization of purchases, stage 1 of the certification ISO 14001, and many other important events.
Its new office is composed by: Michel Blachard (President), Jacques Olès (Vice President), Laurence Lossi (Secretary) et Karel Weller (Treasurer).ISO 14001 certification

The Groupement des Entreprises du Plateau de Signes (GEPS) has obtained ISO14001 certification (Level 1) for the Signes Business Park… the first time abusiness organisation-led project has pulled this off in France!
Objectives: to raise awareness, encourage, represent the Business Parkcompanies, pool their resources to maintain and improve the quality of life andenvironmental friendliness.
This innovative approach is based on the mapping of the mainbusiness-induced environmental impact factors such as materials storage, themachinery installed, etc.
Theenvironmental remedial and preventative work already undertaken by the GEPSwill be continued, drawing on data provided by the twice-yearly map updates.

Les Petits Chaperons Rouges

Les Petits Chaperons Rouges crèche has now been open for a year inSignes and looks after 64 children in a safe, high-quality setting. The familiesare charged the same fee as they would be by a local authority establishment. Thereare still places available for reservation by firms on the Park seeking to setup an attractive human resources policy. presentation of the Signes Business Park, its bustling activity, the quality of
its services offer and environment, its guiding principles and the potential of

Economy
No doubt about it, the Var is an ideal department for starting up, where the economic and institutional operators get involved in giving guidance on projects. There are over 55 000 enterprises and new ventures average around almost 8 000 every year. The Var accounts for 20% of the region’s economic base and 21% of its new businesses.
