ISO 14001 certification

The Groupement des Entreprises du Plateau de Signes (GEPS) has obtained ISO
14001 certification (Level 1) for the Signes Business Park… the first time a
business organisation-led project has pulled this off in France!
Objectives: to raise awareness, encourage, represent the Business Park companies, pool their resources to maintain and improve the quality of life and environmental friendliness.
This innovative approach is based on the mapping of the main business-induced environmental impact factors such as materials storage, the machinery installed, etc.
The environmental remedial and preventative work already undertaken by the GEPS will be continued, drawing on data provided by the twice-yearly map updates.

Les Petits Chaperons Rouges

Les Petits Chaperons Rouges crèche has now been open for a year inSignes and looks after 64 children in a safe, high-quality setting. The familiesare charged the same fee as they would be by a local authority establishment. Thereare still places available for reservation by firms on the Park seeking to setup an attractive human resources policy. "Signes de qualité" event

On 23 October 2009, the "Signes de qualité" event opened
giving pride of place to 5 new Business Park occupants: Cintragemétal – Quai
Sud/ Epicerie de Provence – Sanogia – Tethys - X-RayServices, involving a
presentation of the Signes Business Park, its bustling activity, the quality of
its services offer and environment, its guiding principles and the potential of

The assets
The quality of the environment at Signes-en-Provence Business Park and the set-up terms it offers sets it apart.
A vast area
- The Business Park covers 240 hectares,
- of which 185 are earmarked for enterprises and 55 hectares are set aside for service activities and landscape features (woodland reserves, ornamental lawns, water features, etc.),
- the site has significant potential with over 100 hectares available for development.
A harmonious, eco-friendly environment
- The Business Park is at the foot of the Sainte-Baume massif, at an altitude of 455 metres, in a 5 500-hectare conservation area of forests and pine groves. It is also close to the Mediterranean shoreline. The air in the Business Park is extremely pure thanks to this combination of environmental factors.
High-specification space planning
- A highly sensitive approach was taken when developing the Business Park project to comply with an urban and landscape planning charter,
- a specification stipulates the rights and obligations of each of the parties involved; a planning regulation sets out the architectural code that covers all building work,
- the Business Park is equipped with tasteful signage and street furniture features.
High added-value sectors and enterprises
- The Business Park has over 80 buildings. They house both international groups (Coca-Cola Midi, Ipsen Pharma Biotech, Oreca) and a number of regional SMEs (Aéro 13, Elitech Microbio, Tade Pays du Levant),
- Ten companies are currently setting up on site (Cintragemetal, Quai Sud, Sanogia, Tethys, …),
- The Business Park, which accommodates about 1 500 employees, is a site on a human scale.
